These are a few pieces of art that I painted in March, mostly focusing on edges (and particularly lost edges).
The first sketch was a test of building shapes up from simple beginnings, as well as trying out some harsh contrast and lighting. There's definitely things to fix there, but I'm relatively happy with it as a test.
The cube sketch was mostly a test of my brushes and improving my confidence to create interesting, compelling edges with them. I liked how it looked, so exported it in that state.
The third sketch is one that I've lost a bit. I could probably work on it more to try and improve/save it, but I think it ended up in a place that helped me with my brush control and has taught me a bit about larger pieces. I'm definitely going to need to focus on the separation between foreground, midground, and background elements in the future, as well as positioning the focal point in that space. But that'll be something for a future piece!
